Why should I use terminal blocks?

In order to create a safe, clean and professional sub-distribution in your electrical cabinet, terminal blocks are indispensable. Although they have been used in industrial and public building installations for many years, terminal blocks are also becoming increasingly popular in private construction projects. The idea behind a junction box is that instead of running the power cables for each circuit through the entire panel to the fuses, all the wires that run directly above (or possibly below) the fuse box are connected to each individual circuit cable. The advantage of terminal blocks is that sequential numbering always provides clarity.
Why do I use bridges in a control cabinet?
You use bridges in your control cabinet to be able to connect the individual terminals of a terminal block with each other. There are different possibilities to connect the terminal blocks by bridges. If the terminals are far away from each other, they are usually connected by wires, while the terminals that are close together should be connected by bridges. In this case, screwable metal bridges are usually used, which can also be used to connect several adjacent terminals in order to distribute a certain potential to several connection points. These bridges are called saddle bridges. Bridgeable terminals usually have a slot in the center into which a metal strip can be inserted. Adjacent or nearby terminal blocks can be connected together using jumper wires. Jumper wires are usually comb connectors that connect to terminal connectors.
Finding the right termination
When using terminal blocks, be sure to use proper and, most importantly, secure end plates. A terminal without an end plate is incomplete and not allowed in Germany, as protection cannot be guaranteed.
