Spectrum S-Flex 98A Filament

With the Spectrum S-Flex 98 A filaments, you can create models that have a high flexibility as well as a very good impact resistance and thermal insulation. Thanks to the good adhesion between the individual layers, but also the work table, you can achieve perfect printing results quickly and easily. The basis for the Spectrum S-Flex 98 A filaments is the unique TPU material that combines the best properties of conventional thermoplastics with those of elastomers.

High flexibility combined with very good impact strength

To enable you to create high-quality and durable models, Spectrum S-Flex 98A filaments are based on thermoplastic polyether polyurethane. In addition to its flexibility, this material is also characterized by its good recyclability, very high resistance to dynamic forces and a high resistance to hydrolysis. In addition, the material is relatively simple and easy to print in the field of additive manufacturing. The distinguishing feature in the filament name - 98A - denotes the hardness of the material on the Shore scale and places S-Flex 98A in the category of hard elastomers. This property - from the perspective of the 3D printing process - reduces the risk of deformation of the filament in the area of the feed system from the filament to the print heads. This allows for slightly faster printing compared to other, more vulnerable elastomers.

Made to protect elements

Spectrum S-Flex 98A flexible filament is resistant to weak and dilute acids and bases but also all common industrial oils and chemicals. Thanks to up to 510% elongation at break, high elongation and tensile strength, and Shore 98A hardness, you can use Spectrum S-Flex 98A filaments for the production of sealing parts, edge protection, or for parts of the thermal insulation system. An additional advantage that enables perfect printing is the very good adhesion of the first layer of the manufactured part to the work tables, whether it is made of glass, steel, plastic or any other material.
