The specially modified consumable combines the mechanical properties of ABS material with the low shrinkage and easy printing of PLA material. This makes PLA Tough easier to process and gives you more options in 3D printing. The more matte surface unlike PLA without modification brings a special look.

Tough like ABS, easy to print like PLA

Spectrum's PLA Tough filaments are based on the modification of monomers. This combines the best properties of PLA and ABS. This results in a significant reduction in shrinkage, making it possible to print large-format components. It also maintains the rigidity of PLA and the impact bending strength of ABS. PLA Tough enables mechanical processing of printed parts, which is difficult or impossible with standard PLA. Therefore, the manufactured parts can be ground, milled, drilled and turned. Thanks to the modified material, brittleness is eliminated but full biodegradability is maintained.

Spectrum PLA Tough Filament has many valuable properties that make the material more impact resistant and flexible. The higher adhesion forces between the individual layers enables printing of large format prints and is a good alternative to styrene-based materials.
