This material has a significantly higher fire resistance than conventional PET-G material, but the remaining properties are not affected.

Fire-resistant, halogen-free PET-G for 3D printing

Spectrum PET-G FR V0 filaments are designed to meet the UL 94 V0 flammability standard, which means that vertical burning of the filament or printed part takes no more than 10 seconds. Most typical plastics have low fire resistance. Therefore, Spectrum PET-G FR V0 filament was developed to be flame retardant or self-extinguishing to provide a high level of safety in everyday and work environments. The modifications made do not affect the printability of the filament, allowing it to retain the classic properties of PET-G, i.e. easy and efficient printing with very low shrinkage and relatively high tensile strength.

Where fire resistance is important

Spectrum PET-G FR V0 is a new halogen-free, fire-resistant material for 3D printing based on the commonly known PET-G. The hydrophobic, odorless and chemically resistant material combines the best properties of PLA and ABS and can be used in a variety of applications thanks to its approval with food. Also with the fulfillment of the UL 94 V0 standard, the range of application of the high-quality filaments expands to further areas.
