Midori stair treads – clear slip protection for your staircase

Smooth stairs made of wood, stone or tiles look attractive but offer little grip in socks, slippers or for paws. This is where Midori stair treads come in: the clear treads are stuck onto the step and their textured surface gives your feet noticeably more grip. The look of the staircase is largely preserved, because the clear material lets the surface show through. They are designed for indoor stairs, for example in a house, flat, hallway, basement or stairwell.

Anti-slip stair treads in two sizes

The stair treads come in two sizes, 15 x 60 cm and 15 x 81 cm. Each pack contains 15 treads, rolled up in a box. Choose by the width of your steps: 15 x 60 cm for steps from about 60 cm wide, 15 x 81 cm for steps from about 81 cm wide. If required, they can be trimmed with scissors, for example for narrower steps, platforms or landings.

Clear PEVA anti-slip treads with a grippy texture

The material is PEVA, a flexible and clear plastic. The finely textured surface increases the grip between foot and step. This benefits children running up and down the stairs, older people who watch every step, and dogs or cats whose claws find little hold on varnished or oiled wood. The rounded corners lie flat, so there are no sharp edges.

Transparent stair treads for wood, stone, tiles and metal

The stair treads adhere to smooth surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, tiles and marble. Rough, uneven or porous steps and carpet are not suitable, because the adhesive cannot find a closed surface there. On light and dark surfaces alike, they stay discreet and take on the colour of the step.

Self-adhesive stair treads, easy to apply

No tools are needed. First clean the step thoroughly and remove dust, dirt and grease, then let it dry completely. Peel the protective film off the back, position it centrally about 2 cm behind the edge of the step and press it firmly from the centre outwards so that no air bubbles remain. Ideally work at normal room temperature.

Caring for the anti-slip stair treads

In everyday use it is enough to wipe the stair treads with a damp cloth or mop. Dust and hair can also be vacuumed. Avoid harsh cleaners and abrasives so that the surface keeps its texture. If an edge comes loose, press it on firmly again or replace the tread.
