Environmentally friendly produced carrier material

The carrier material of a wet adhesive tape is robust and high-quality kraft paper. This paper is made from long-fibered softwoods and is particularly tear-resistant. In addition, the tape has a lower elongation at break than conventional PP or PVC tapes. Now you might think that this is a disadvantage but exactly the opposite is the case. Thanks to the low elongation of less than 4%, the paper tape does not give way. The carton remains tightly closed until it is opened, which prevents loose contents from leaking. Thanks to the additional thread reinforcement of the backing material, paper tape, unlike plastic tapes, cannot tear further once it has a "breach".

On the glue

Wet adhesive tapes, as the name suggests, only stick when they are wet. The high-quality backing material is coated with a vegetable-based adhesive. This plant-based adhesive is only activated when it comes into contact with water. Once activated, it develops a very high adhesive strength, as the liquid adhesive bonds with the cardboard surface. Once bonded, the tape cannot be removed from the cardboard without damaging it.  It will not go unnoticed if someone has tampered with your carton.
